Riding and Eye Protection
What I Like
- Comfortable while riding using straps
- Quickly convertible from goggles to glasses (straps or temple)
- Prescription inserts (can be updated by any dispenser)
- Although some fogging can occur when not moving, it clears instantaneously once the air is flowing.
- Good looks using the Space lens
- Changeable lenses (some examples of many available):
- Space lens (solar protection against extreme radiation)
- LST lens (harmonizes rapid light/shadow fluctuations, high contrasting effect)
- Clear lens (good for night riding)
- Yellow lens (better vision in fog and diffuse light, brightening effect)
- Can use them when skiing, climbing Mount Everest, snowmobiling, etc.
What I Don't Like (Sometimes)
- Quick release hinge: Temples/straps sometimes come apart when you don't want them to - must be deliberate when installing
- Prominent Adidas lettering on straps (thankfully I wear the straps under the helmet)
- Difficult to changes lenses without virtually dismantling the eyewear, or smudging lenses and inserts
- Expensive (my insurance only covered two thirds of the cost)
- Dorky look with the yellow or clear lenses
I purchased the goggles as a solution for riding in the rain, and am totally satisfied in that respect. As a bonus, I have found the goggles very beneficial in highway riding as well, especially in windy or cold situations. I also like the fact that I have a spare pair of glasses in case of emergencies, and that I can change the lenses based on environmental

conditions. The goggles have even come in handy when my passenger's helmet's face shield fell off during a road trip, and I could loan them to her after removing the prescription insert.
Although the goggles I bought were from Adidas, they look very similar to the many different goggles advertised in motorcycle magazines, so functionally one would think they would perform about the same. As for durability, I have had no problems so far. They are advertised as being constructed of plastics that are very flexible, break-proof, and are highly resistant to temperature extremes.
Would I buy them again? Absolutely!
