Here at Last
Story by Gail.
Even though it's the beginning of March in the world's second coldest capital city, I rode my bike today. That's right. In below zero weather on roads with snow banks alongside them.
There were many months of anticipation leading up to this. It began last summer when I made the decision to buy my own motorcycle. In December, I finally paid the balance on my 2005 Buell Blast. Last week I went to watch my bike get unpacked from its crate, and today I brought her home in the back of my dad's Astro van.
I've prepared a little slide show to document this exciting time. It mostly covers the grand crate opening, and shows a bit of getting the bike into my house, its hibernation spot for this year and this year only. I've also highlighted some shots below the slideshow. Enjoy!

| It looks so...different. Aack! It's naked. |
 |
| Andrew inspects the bike. "It seems to be the same as mine," he says, but of course he knows mine is faster (obviously - it's black!). |
 |
| I get the Carmichael clan ready to lift the bike up the steps and into the house. |
