I’ve owned quite a few bikes over the
years, from a lawnmower powered mini-bike in the late sixties
to my current Twin Cam
DynaGlide. Here you will learn how I came to own these bikes,
what I thought
of them, their customization and maintenance, and some of
the adventures I had on them. It is a history lesson about one
person
and his
motorcycles. Those of you who are new to the sport may be
surprised by the incremental steps we took back then, starting
with tiny
underpowered motorbikes, and then slowly working our way
up to the heavyweights. And for those of you who have been around
for
a while, it could be fun to see how my experiences compared
to yours.
If you are a Harley enthusiast, then you may find my experiences
with this mark of particular interest since I will be writing about
what has kept me on an air-cooled 45 deg. V-twin since 1989. It
is my intent to continue to add to this section content that will
document the modifications that I make to my bike, and the repairs
required to keep it running. The personalization of one’s
wheels tends to be a forever on-going process. Perhaps some of
my experiences in that quest for mechanical perfection will provide
answers to questions you might have had. Better still, it might
prevent you from making mistakes.
Finally, one last caution to the
gear heads that have stumbled upon this site; I am not a mechanic
and
this
site will not provide you with
in depth technical data.
